There are four zones in Kaziranga for Safari and they are the Central (Kohora) zone, the Western (Bagori) Zone, the Eastern (Agaratoli) Zone and the Ghorakati (Burapahar) Zone. The elephant safari is available for the two zones, Central Zone and Western Zone, whereas Jeep Safari is available for all the four zones of Kaziranga National Park. For booking safari online in Kaziranga, advance payment is required and it includes all the charges.

Safari Zones in Kaziranga National Park

Central (Kohora) Zone:This is the mid zone of Kaziranga National Park and the probability of seeing a tiger, one horned rhino, Swamp deer, wild buffalos etc is quite high here. This is the reason why Central Zone is the most preferred zone for tourists visiting Kaziranga. The flora and fauna of this zone is also very beautiful.

Western (Bagori) Zone:This zone is also on of the best zones of Kaziranga as it is full of lush greeneries with an abundance of wildlife species. It also attracts most of the animals of Kaziranga National Park, due to the presence of water bodies like ponds where they come to quench their thirst. Therefore, the prime animals like tiger, rhino, and elephants are easily sighted here.

Eastern (Agaratoli) Zone:This zone has a passage for the national highway which makes it ideal for jeep safari. Even for wildlife photography this zone is one of the most preferred part of Kaziranga.

Burapahar (Ghorakati) Zone:The gate for entering this zone is built in the village of Ghorakati which is 40 km away from the entry gate. This zone is a well known part of Kaziranga for its trekking activities, and apart from trekking you can also do an elephant ride or jeep ride in this zone.

  • All the booking processes are managed through an automated computerized system by the forest officials of Kaziranga National Park for fair distribution of safaris.
  • As per jungle safari rules and regulations the amount is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.
  • If your safari is not booked due to some technical problem or unavailability, we will refund the whole booking amount paid by you.
  • Full name, gender, age of every visitor has to be provided. And please carry the same ID card submitted during the online booking.
  • Passport details are mandatory for the reservation of tourists from foreign countries.
  • All the charges for reservation of safaris should be paid in advance.
  • As we follow the guidelines of Kaziranga National Park, we cannot change the booking process for any safari zone, as it is not in our control.
  • Entry permits along with the above-mentioned documents should be carried by the visitors as all the booking processes are governed by the officers of Kaziranga.
  • There are two different shifts for jeep safari, one in the forenoon and one in the afternoon. Also there are two shifts for elephant safari but both shifts are in the morning only.
  • To guide your safari excursion only registered guides of Kaziranga National Park are allowed.
  • Visitors must accept the rules and regulations of the Wildlife Protection Act. Cooperation is mandatory from the visitor’s side.
  • Please avoid carrying any type of pets as pets are not allowed inside the Kaziranga National Park.
  • Since we are a booking platform in the booking of your safari inside the wildlife sanctuary. We are not responsible for any type of accident, injury, theft or death during your jaunt.

  • Once we receive the payment you will receive an acknowledgment email from us showing receipt and confirmation of payment.
  • 25% of total package cost if cancelled 30 days before the starting date of the trip.
  • 50% of total package cost if cancelled 15-30 days before the starting date of the trip.
  • 100% of total package cost if cancelled 0-15 days before the starting date of the trip.
  • Once the voucher for the Safari is issued by the authorities, 100% of the total cost will be charged as cancellation.
