Tour Itinerary

  • Day – 1 : Arrival at Guwahati and transfer to Cherrapunji:
    Receive a warm welcome as you arrive at the Guwahati railway station or the airport and be seated in our well maintained private vehicle, let our company representative take you to one of the wettest destinations in the world, Cherrapunji. As you cover approx. 150 kms of the journey, enjoy some leisure time amidst the majestic view of Umiam Lake also known as Barapani. And if you want, you may also indulge in some water sports (at your own cost). As you continue your journey you will drive by the beautiful city of Shillong and en-route you will stop by Mawkdok Dympep Valley which is well known for adventurous activity like zip lining and also for its breath-taking view. Then advance on your drive to Cherrapunji and on reaching there check in to the hotel for a short halt. Afterwards we will begin another sight-seeing session as we travel to some must visit places like Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sister falls also known as Nohsngithiang Falls, Mawsmai falls and also experience caving at the Mawsmai Cave. Later return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
  • Day – 2 : Visit the Cleanest village – Mawlynnong and Turquoise river in Dawki:
    As part of your Short Shillong Tour Package’s itinerary, after enjoying a healthy breakfast go on a picturesque drive to Mawlynnong village which is located in the East Khasi Hills District along the India-Bangladesh border. It was awarded as the cleanest village in Asia in the year 2003 and is also known as “God’s own garden”. See the Khasi way of life and meet the locals. Then visit Dawki where boating on the Umngot river should be a ‘must’ on your to-do-list. From photography point of view, click pictures from a top view of the boats. It appears as if the boats are flying in the air. Then spend some time at the Indo-Bangladesh border and later drive to Shillong and check in to the hotel on reaching here. Rest at the hotel overnight.
  • Day – 3 : Wander around Shillong City:
    Today after an appetizing breakfast, we will be touring the beautiful city of Shillong. Tick off your list of the must-visit places that includes the Don Bosco Museum which signifies the indigenous tribes and cultures of the north-eastern states. Cathedral Catholic Church is one of the biggest in India and is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Shillong. Lady Hydari Park is a beautiful greenery place with lots of flowers of different varieties where you may spend quality time with friends and family. It also has a zoo. Ward’s lake is where you may enjoy boating while you visit this pristine north-eastern city. Golf Links is an 18-hole course located in a beautiful valley that is dotted with thick pine and rhododendron trees. Arrange your evening time to visit the local markets, and dig into some shopping. Relax and unwind in a delightful stay at the hotel in Shillong during the night.
  • Day – 4 : Laitlum, Elephant falls and Shillong Peak:
    After an early morning breakfast, pickup from your hotel and head towards the Laitlum Canyons, a delighting place which will mesmerize you. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the canyon, its steep winding stairways that bend their way deep downhill leading to a small village. Laitlum is not crowded like other tourist destinations. It is a beautiful and unique valley with a pleasant hilly weather. Spend your time in the nature and rejuvenate yourself. Then drive to Shillong Peak which is situated at the height of 6449 sq.ft and 1965m above sea level and Shillong City gets recognition from the Peak itself. A telescope is also installed at the top of the peak building where you can have the Bird’s Eye View from one corner to another corner of Shillong. The last destination of the day would be Elephant Falls, located in Upper Shillong which is famous as well as beautiful. The three stepped waterfall is named after an elephant like stone at its foot. Later, drive back to the hotel in Shillong for your stay overnight..
  • Day – 5 : End of Spectacular Shillong Tour Package:
    After breakfast, drive to Guwahati. Enroute stop at Nongpoh for refreshments. Later on reaching Guwahati, stop at your desired dropping points either Airport or the Railway station for your journey back home. Our team will endeavour to make your trip glorious and a memorable one.
