Places to visit during Mawsynram One Day Tours

Mawjymbuin Cave

A notable religious site is Mawjymbuin Cave, which is located in Mawjymbuin Village in Mawsynram (the wettest spot on Earth), in Cherrapunji. The 209-metre-high cave is of great interest to local geologists who do specialised study since it is made of calcareous sandstone and features multiple stalagmites (developed as a consequence of calcium carbonate depositions, weathering, and dripping of mineral enriched fluids). Popular with tourists, photographers, pilgrims, and naturalists is the Mawjymbuin Cave.

Lum Symper Peak and Cave

Locals love to picnic at the rocky Lum Symper Top, which spans a lush base with the peak. It takes many hours of walking to acquire a comprehensive view of the area. Your first trial will only need a few steps from the road, and for the remaining distance, you can either proceed up the steep slope or the stairs going to the green hilltop. Khreng Khreng Falls

To reach these breathtaking falls, which are barely off the usual path, you may take a detour off the highway close to Mawsynram. Khreng Khreng is one of the waterfalls in the East Khasi Hills that is the most accessible. Parking for tourist cars is available a short drive from the falls. Mawlyngbna

How to Reach Mawsynram

By Road: Road trips to Mawsynram are frequently seen as being well worth the time and effort due to the breathtaking roadside scenery in northeastern India.
