Mawjymbuin Cave

Mawjymbuin, which is close to Mawsynram and has religious significance, is one of Meghalaya’s most well-known caverns. The large cave entrance is reached through a staircase that descends two storeys and is tucked away in a shrubbery. The entryway, which is 4-m high and astonishingly 50-m wide, may be seen from a small viewing platform on the first floor. From here, a further flight of stairs will take you to the cave’s entrance. A continuous trickle of water pours down the opening as a result of the cave’s dense roof vegetation.

Lum Symper Peak and Cave

The path travels through a region of vast meadows surrounded by gently ascending hills to the north of the Mawjymbuin Cave. Khreng Khreng Waterfall

You can take a diversion off the motorway near Mawsynram to get to these spectacular falls, which are just off the beaten road.
