How to Reach Majuli
By Road: Majuli is referred to as the river island therefore, you will not be able to visit this required island by road. You have to avail a ferry service from Neemati Ghat to reach this isle. If you are travelling by a bus or cab then you have to visit Jorhat town first. From this town you can find numerous bus/cabs that run between Jorhat and Neemati Ghat. It will take around 7 hours if you are taking a bus service from Guwahati city to Jorhat town.
By Train: In Majuli there is not any railway station therefore, if you are visiting this island by train then you have reached Jorhat railway station and this is the only railhead which is situated near to Majuli Island. From Jorhat Railway Station you can take a bus or hire a taxi to Neemati Ghat. Later on you have to avail a ferry service to reach Isle Majuli.
By Air: If you want to fly to this lush green island then for you the nearest airport to this Majuli island will be Jorhat Airport which is situated at a distance of 291 km. Apart from this, visitors have one more option like they can arrive first at Guwahati International Airport and head their journey towards their desired destination.From Jorhat you can hire a cab to Neemati Ghat. Lastly you have to avail a ferry service from Nemaati Ghat to reach your pleasing island.
