How to Reach Kaziranga?
By Road: Roads journey to Kaziranga is quite comfortable as the highways joining Kaziranga with major cities of Assam are well-maintained. If you are travelling by road then the main entrance gate of this national park can be found in a small metropolis town called Kohara. Travelling through the highways of Assam are generally comfortable and enjoyable because it provides an excellent medium for four wheelers.
By Train: Furkating railway station is the only short distance railway stop to Kaziranga which is at a separation of 75 km from Kaziranga. This railway stop is well-connected to many big cities of India like Kolkata, New Delhi. If you are not getting a direct train to Furkating from your present city then you can visit Guwahati railway station which is 193 km away from Kaziranga.
By Air: If you are flying to Kaziranga National Park then the closest airport you can observe near your desired destination is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport which is at a distance of 192 km from Kaziranga. You can book a cab according to your need and have a comfortable ride to Kaziranga as the highway that connects these two spots are well-maintained.

Kaziranga has the largest population of one-horned rhinoceros. It serves nearly 66% of its total population in the world. From the 1st of May till the 31st of October Kaziranga remains closed because of monsoon season. During monsoon season the required water level of Brahmaputra
Increases and floods the park. Therefore, avoid visiting kaziranga within this period of time.
You can’t stay inside the National Park as there are no accommodation facilities available inside the Kaziranga. But near Kohara and Bagori zone some accommodations and camps are built which provides the visitors of Kaziranga a cosy stay.
