Places to visit during Kaziranga One Day Tour

Agnigarh

On the Brahmaputra River’s bank in the Assamese district of Tezpur, there is a hill called Agnigarh Hill. The location is linked to a well-known mythical romance. According to Hindu legend, Aniruddha, the grandson of Lord Krishna, and Usha, the daughter of the asura monarch Banasura, fell in love with one another. Banasura disapproved of the union, so he imprisoned Aniruddha somewhere else and confined his daughter Usha here. It was called Agnigarh, or the fort of fire, since it was thought that this region possessed a fire-based barrier that only Banasura could conquer.

Bamuni Hills

Several historical artefacts that are remnants of the region’s colourful past may be found in the northeastern Indian state of Assam. The Bamuni highlands in the Sonitpur area, which are well-known to visitors, may contain these magnificent ruins. Several exquisite statues and stone carvings from previous periods may be seen on the Bamuni hill, which is located on the right bank of the river Brahmaputra. Garampani

A little town called Garampani is located in the Golaghat district of Assam. The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is one of Assam’s most well-known attractions and is also one of its oldest sanctuaries. The sanctuary isn’t in the Golaghat neighbourhood. It is located in the Karbi Anglong area, 25 kilometres distant. Garampani is 117 metres above sea level. Kakochang Waterfalls

Weather in Kaziranga

Summer:The park is constantly open to tourists during the summer. However, it is not regarded as the ideal season to visit the park due to the hot, damp, and steamy weather. The typical temperature is around 37 °C. If you want to avoid the crowds of the busiest season and benefit from off-season hotel rates, summer is a great time to go.

Monsoon:Any trip plans during June, when Kaziranga’s rainy season starts, are suggested to be postponed. The area is believed to get an average of 2200 mm of rain between June and September. Floods are brought on by the startling rise in water levels brought on by the adjacent Brahmaputra River. Currently, the park’s western section, which makes up over 3/4 of its total size, is still underwater.

Winter:It is said that winter is the best time to visit Kaziranga. With temperatures ranging from 5°C to 25°C, the climate is moderate and enjoyable for park visitors. If you enjoy watching birds, now is the best time of year to visit because hundreds of them are flocking to the park from adjacent mountains in search of warmer weather.

How to Reach Kaziranga

By Road: Kaziranga is conveniently reachable by bus. The distance to Guwahati is approximately 227 kilometers, and bus tickets there cost Rs 500. About Rs 70 would get you a ticket to Jorhat, which is 96 kilometers distant. Each ticket for Naugaon, Dibrugarh, and Tezpur costs Rs 50. Depending on whether the bus is privately owned or run by the government, the price of a ticket varies. Buses are frequently reasonably secure in this neighborhood. You can find approximately four zones in kaziranga and they are Central Zone (Kohara), Eastern Zone (Agaratoli), Western Zone (Bagori) and Burapahar Zone.

7. Can I carry water bottles inside the Kaziranga?

This national park is referred to as the eco-friendly park therefore, carrying thermal water bottles inside this park is an offence. If you are found carrying thermal water bottles or any other plastic stuff then you’ll be charged as fine.

8. Is there anything that we must keep in mind before our safari?

Yes, since it is a wildlife sanctuary therefore, try to wear clothes which have low focal length like dark green, algae, brown and avoid wearing clothes which have high focal length like red and white.

9. Can I stay inside kaziranga?

No, staying inside the national park is not allowed. But near Kohara and Bagori zone travellers can observe some resorts and hotels where they can have overnight peace stay.

10. Is kaziranga safe for travellers?

Yes, Kaziranga is safe for its visitors because since the past many years inside the national park no such incident has taken place that can scare its visitors. The only thing that you have to do when you are inside this park is listen to the instructions that your Mahout and your guide provides you. And do not try to get down from your safari when you are inside Kaziranga national park.
