Jaflong Zero Point

Only one kilometer separates the Jaflong Zero Point from the major market in Dawki. The cleanest river in India enters the Bangladesh border plain at this location, which is relatively near to Bangladesh. Weather in Dawki

Summer:Summers in Dawki is not very hot; in fact, they are fairly comfortable when compared to other regions in northern India. Simply said, it is the greatest time to visit this region and discover all of its gorgeous panoramas. Nonetheless, this is the one period when the Umngot river has crystal pure water. Temperatures in the summer range from 30 to 22 degrees Celsius. How to Reach Dawki

By Road: Dawki is a border town that is about 85 kilometres from Shillong’s main city and about 190 kilometres from Guwahati. A traveller can visit this location by a rented cab from both cities. Many travellers used to opt for a rental bike service in Guwahati because Meghalaya is a mountainous region and has well-maintained highways. The motorbike journey from Guwahati to Dawki has even been termed the finest ride ever.

By Train: The closest railway station to reach Dawki, the border town of Meghalaya is Guwahati. From Guwahati, a traveller of Dawki has to cover a distance of 175 kilometres to reach his/her desired destination. Travellers have to cover a long distance by cab only because Meghalaya doesn’t have any railhead. Though the journey takes about five hours. But it is very enjoyable because it is full of alluring scenarios.

By Air: If you want to fly to Dawki, then you can observe two airports near the Dawki region namely—Shillong Airport and Guwahati International Airport. Out of these two airports, Shillong airport is the closest airport but it has limited air connectivity. Which thereafter asked travellers to arrive first at Guwahati International Airport.
